I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. (Ps 34:1-2)
Since graduation I’ve been in the best place ever. I’ve really meditated on how blessed I am in the Lord! All of my needs are met, the only worries I have are the ones I create, and the life I desire for myself is unfolding day by day. All I can do is say thank you God! I say thank you for: food, clothing, shelter, transportation, my brothers, Conversations in the Word, all that you have in store for me in the future, a mind that continues to learn, understanding of your word, for living in the United States, mentors who have been a part my life, redemption, favor, health, and my parents.
Since graduation I’ve realized how important it is to have supportive parents or a support system who have learned from their mistakes and put God 1st in all they do. I now understand the importance of parents truly investing time in their children not only when they are young, but until they can get off of their feet. I truly thank God for my parents and I can’t say it enough. The way they have raised my brothers and I has seemed abnormal for the longest time to me, but day by day it is paying off and I thank you God for their obedience to your word.
Father I thank you!
Take some time today and write at least 15 things that you are thankful for!
